A Central Islip teacher is out on bail after being arrested yesterday for allegedly being intoxicated when he got out of his car in Eastport.
Police say Jay Condrill, a special education teacher, was arrested outside the Triangle Pub in Eastport.
Officials say that when they attempted to arrest Condrill, he threatened them and refused to comply, forcing them to use a stun gun to subdue him.
Condrill told News 12 Long Island he was unfairly targeted by police officers, but refused to elaborate further.
Condrill is charged with DWI, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Central Islip school officials say Condrill is suspended with pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
