A Central Islip neighborhood was on lockdown Monday night after police responded to a fatal shooting.Police say they were called the neighborhood around 7:30 p.m. and that one person was killed.
One neighbor says she heard about five gunshots. Another neighbor says she heard that her friend has been shot.Police say they closed off several streets including Clayton Street and St. John Street. Police are continuing an investigation. No other information was available.
