A 17-year-old was arrested for threatening to "shoot up" Sequoya High School in Holtsville.
An anonymous email threat was sent to school administrators last week and the school was locked down.
Police say they traced the message back to the teenager's home in Centereach.
When officers searched his home, no weapons were found.
