Centereach residents say they are fed up after teens have been terrorizing their neighborhood recently.
One woman says a man and his friends tore down her pride flag. She added her garage door was damaged, along with a lawn.
The neighborhood spoke with Suffolk police about the situation and what can be done to fix it.
"Horrible,” said the woman. "I feel helpless. I've seen the police speak to them while I’m there. And they don't care. They just don't care. Before somebody gets hurt, I want to see something done. Suffolk County's going to have to come out and patrol more.”
Police say two incidents in the area are under investigation. They did not comment on increased patrols.
