Police say a 13-year-old girl was struck by a truck Sunday morning in East Flatbush near Albany Avenue and Glenwood Road.

In an exclusive video obtained by News 12, the teen is seen waiting for the B6 bus before the crash occurs.

Police say she is recovering in the hospital from a broken leg and facial trauma.

It’s not yet clear if any arrests have been made.

The incident sparked calls for safety improvements from residents in the area who said this is not the first accident in the area.

“It's been a problem,” said Leonie Logan, president of the East 40th Street Block Association. “We've tried to get four-way stop signs, we've tried to get speed bumps, or speed humps on our block. This has been since 2006 that we’ve tried.”

A spokesperson for DOT told News 12: “Our thoughts are with the victim and their loved ones and we are reviewing the crash.”
