A surveillance camera lead to the arrest Saturday of a man in a hit-and-run in Bay Shore.
Patrick Connolly, of Levittown, had angry words for the driver who plowed into him last month in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven. Police say 30-year-old Christopher Pearsall mowed down Connolly moments after buying coffee. Connolly says Pearsall then cursed at him as he lay seriously injured in the parking lot. Connolly says what was even worse was the people that walked by him and did nothing to help.
The surveillance camera caught everything on tape and lead police to Pearsall. Connolly says he hopes people will learn something from his harrowing experience and step up and help someone in need.
