    Calverton man sentenced to 18 years in prison for attacking ex-girlfriend, family

    Prosecutors say Guillermo Ayala Jr. choked the victim following an argument in December 2022.

    A Calverton man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for attacking his ex-girlfriend and her family.
    Prosecutors say Guillermo Ayala Jr. choked the victim following an argument in December 2022.
    News 12 is told the suspect went to her parents' house the following day and slashed her father, aunt and uncle.
    The uncle was permanently disfigured.
