The Bronx Community College men's basketball team had their hopes for a holiday win dashed this weekend with a 78-66 loss to the Fashion Institute of Technology.
The teams met Sunday at Alumni Gym, where Bronx Community College Bronco Juan Tavares passed the ball to closer Al Reyes to score. The Broncos were down by 12 in the second half to 35-23.
Guard Ronny Washington even nailed a three-pointer to cut the deficit to 10 points, but the rally wasn't enough.
F.I.T.'s Jamuel Vaz helped to cut the comeback short. The Broncos fell to F.I.T. 78-66.
Bronx Community College hasn't won a game this season since its overtime opener with Mount Saint Vincent.
