Nurses at The Brooklyn Hospital Center say they are now on Day 19 without health insurance coverage.

Dozens gathered outside the hospital, demanding their benefits be restored. Nurses say the loss of coverage is not just a workplace issue but a personal one. Several shared that they rely on daily medications and ongoing treatments to manage serious health conditions, including asthma and cancer recovery.

Some say they have been forced to ration medication or delay care while waiting for coverage to be reinstated.

News 12 reached out to The Brooklyn Hospital Center for comment but has not yet received a response.
