A Bronx teen is under arrest after a string of burglaries in Nassau County.

Police say Richard Morgridge, 18, burglarized 9 businesses in Carle Place and Mineola within hours of each other.

The businesses included Carman Drugs on Westbury Avenue, Low Cost Manufacturing, AAC Convenience, Mineola Diner, Churrasqueira Bairrada, Cornerstone Pub, Rex Burger, Executive Cleaners and Brasa Rodizio.

According to police, it all happened on Jan. 29 between 12:43 a.m. and 4:35 a.m.

News 12 has learned Morgridge has been arrested 15 times in New York City from 2019 to 2022.

Police say 11 of those arrests were for burglary, one for criminal mischief, two for robbery and one for felony assault.

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman says it's more proof that more needs to be done to address the state's bail reform laws.

"It's enough already, it's a revolving door," Blakeman says. "Criminals have more rights than individuals. They are overburdening our police department, and we need to make sure that law is repealed."

The felony complaint alleges that Morgridge and another suspect made off with just under $4,000 in total the evening of the alleged incidents.

Many of the stores were broken into through a door or a window with a crowbar.

Morgridge was arraigned on Thursday. Bail was set at $10,000, but not posted.

He is being held in jail until his next court appearance.
