A Bronx church is reviewing its security measures and has closed its soup kitchen indefinitely after a recent robbery.
Reverend Daniel Dupree believes the break-in at the Greater Universal Baptist Church was an inside job. He says the suspect had keys to the front door but broke into rooms inside the church. The vandal took several thousand dollars from the church, as well as a camera.
Dupree says he will be more vigilant and wants to upgrade the church?s security. The pastor of the church says it will cost between $15,000 and $20,000 to replace the equipment that was stolen. The church will not be able to restart the soup kitchen again until more money is raised.
