Bridgeport police investigate stabbing of homeless man, his dog

The Bridgeport community is coming together to help a homeless man and his dog after they were stabbed Friday.
Roger Howard, 44, tells News 12 he and his dog, Bubb, were stabbed on Fairfield Avenue. Howard, who became homeless after losing his job, was terrified Animal Control was going to impound the animal because he couldn't afford emergency veterinary care after the stabbing.
A woman who heard about the case paid for the treatment, and now Bubb is back with his owner.
A fund has been set up to help both Howard and Bubb.
