This summer, Breeze Airways
is adding four new nonstop destinations from MacArthur Airport.

In May, Breeze is adding
trips to Richmond, Virginia and Pittsburgh.

Then in June, flyers can
leave from Islip and travel to Portland, Maine and Raleigh-Durham Airport in
North Carolina.

Now picking back up where we left off, this is how things are panning out for us across the island as of right now, not seeing a whole lot of widespread heavy rainfall though just south of Port Jefferson, we are looking for a bit more of tents of rain pockets as we continue throughout the rest of tonight. But the rain itself is starting to spread more towards the east end, which wasn't seeing a whole lot of rain earlier into this afternoon. But as we continue throughout the rest of tonight, the entire island is going to be looking at a lot more rain as we continue throughout the overnight, going into our day morning. Now, here's a few numbers of what we've collected so far from radar estimations near two inches of rain for the western side of Suffolk County and for much of Nassau County between 1.5 to 2 inches of rain. Now, what this means over the last hour or several hours or so is that a lot of our streets have been resulting in kind of flooding or even hydroplaning for many of us who are trying to travel along the lie or into the residential roads as well. So the streets themselves are not really the best conditions and they're not gonna be improving over the next several hours though. We are looking for a bit of a dry spot after five, between seven o'clock. But once we get towards eight and later, we are looking for another batch of rain to stay consistent overnight. And on top of it, it's going to be heavy once again as well. So here's a look at not only the rain but the wind because we also are looking at that to be the double whammy of an effect for us overnight. Especially once we get closer to a round 10 o'clock, we could be seeing gusting winds around, I slip and much of the east end between 40 to 50 MPH overnight, going into our Monday morning. So again, for now, going into around seven o'clock, it's gonna be our best opportunity to not be seeing those heavy pockets of rain. But once we're past eight o'clock from Huntington to Smithtown and Rocky Point, a lot of areas just to the northern side of Long Island for Suffolk County is gonna start to see a lot more of those bands of heavy rain continuing throughout the rest of tonight. But we're really looking for that one line of heavy rain coming in around 10 o'clock is going to be spreading throughout the island to about midnight into our early Monday morning again, with this heavy rainfall, we could be seeing rainfall, uh starting to go into about an hour, about an inch an hour for some of these moments. So that's why we are looking at flooding to be a big issue for us overnight into our early Monday morning. But again, wind speeds are going to be an issue mainly for the east inside or for Suffolk County from Shirley to Hampton Bays and Rocky Point and even further toward the Twin Forks, we could be seeing those wind gusts between 40 to 50 MPH. And with an over saturated ground, we already saw some down trees, expect a bit more going into tomorrow as well. Quick. Look at how much rain we could be seeing again, close to four inches for some areas, which is why flooding is going to be a big concern going into not tonight just tonight, but for Monday morning as well. But once we get to Monday afternoon, we're dry.
