Boogie Fland and Kayleigh Heckel shine in All-American games

Two area basketball standouts showed why they are up-and-coming stars at their respective all-American games.

Archbishop Stepinac basketball star Boogie Fland was surrounded by stars last night at the McDonald's All-American Game. Fland is one of the top-rated seniors in the nation. He scored 15 points helping his team to an 88-86 victory.

And Port Chester's Kayleigh Heckel played well in her all-American game in Texas. She scored nine points and her team won 98-74. Heckel's off to USC in the fall.
