The body found in the water in Inwood yesterday has been identified.
The NYPD says William Braxton, 83, of Queens, had been missing since Saturday.
Chopper 12 was over the scene yesterday morning when police found Braxton's body near Doughty Boulevard and Burnside Avenue.
It is not clear how Braxton died.
