A fast-moving fire fueled by fiberglass vessels tore through a Lindenhurst boat dealership Sunday.
Firefighters sifted through rubble at Kydd's Marine Center after the business went up in flames. Witnesses say flames were shooting up to the sky within minutes as smoke filled the air. Firefighters' efforts were hampered by a collapsing roof and walls.
No one was injured in the fire and employees were not at work when the blaze started. Kydd's is currently assessing the damage, but the business appears to be a total loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
