BJ's Wholesale Club coming to Greenburgh, according to Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner.
The super store will be filling the former K-Mart space in Fairview's Crossroads Shopping Center.
'We're very excited, because a lot of people during the past decade said they'd like a grocery. They've been begging for a grocery-type store," says Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner.
"It's really good for the community to have BJ's there. You can buy in bulk always. And if they never run out of supplies, even better," says Jeannette Ortiz, of Greenburgh
Denise Young worked at K-Mart for 22 years and Caldor's before that. She's thinking of applying for a job at BJ's. "It was a sad moment. I've been in the building since it was Caldors, so that's 32 years."
Feiner says other vacancies in the center will be filled as well. New additions include the PGA Tour Superstore, and soon to be new additions Phenix Salon Suites and Duck Donuts.
The BJs store is expected to start construction soon with a targeted opening at the end of this year.
