News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Matt Hammer says tumbling temperatures and dangerous wind chills will stick around for Christmas Day and continuing into the week.
WHAT'S NEW: Sunny skies, still cold and breezy.
WHAT'S NEXT: Becoming milder. Dry through Friday, then mild and rainy for next weekend.
FORECAST:
MONDAY: Kwanzaa Begins Bitter Blast – Sun early, then a few clouds later in the day. Highs in the low 30s.
TUESDAY: Clouds and some sun. Highs in the 30s. 
WEDNESDAY: Mixed sun and clouds. A little milder.  Highs near 41. 
THURSDAY:  Partly cloudy. Seasonable. Highs in the mid 40s. 
FRIDAY: Sun and clouds. Milder. Highs near 51.
SATURDAY: New Years Eve – Mostly cloudy, chance for scattered showers later in the day.  Highs in the 50s. Near 50 at midnight.
SUNDAY: New Years Day – Mainly cloudy with some rain.  Mild. Highs in the mid to upper 50s.
