Neighbors in Kings Park will soon say goodbye to a popular diner that served the community for decades.

Professor’s Diner will close its doors at the end of the month.

The Indian Head Road café has been open for 40 years.

The owner tells News 12 that rising costs of rent and food since the pandemic has been too much to keep up with.

Professor’s has been a staple in the community and loyal customers have been sharing their memories of the diner.

The diner’s owner said he will still be in town, operating a hot dog cart.
