Rosemary Hunter, a beloved teacher in the Carle Place School District, has died.
The second grade teacher at Cherry Lane Elementary passed away suddenly on Sept. 12 at the age of 56.
Her funeral is being held Wednesday at St. James R.C. Church in Seaford.
Hunter’s son, Timothy, is a sophomore at MacArthur High School in Levittown.
His father Sean died just two years ago.
The community is coming together to raise money to support the 16-year-old.
