A recent Bay Shore high school graduate accused of putting a camera inside a bathroom has pleaded not guilty to one count of unlawful surveillance.
According to authorities, 18-year-old Daniel Garcia installed the recording device while helping with the school’s drama club.
Prosecutors in court on Thursday stated that they have a confession from Garcia as well as video from the camera of him installing the device.
Defense attorney Laqaun London refused to comment on those claims.
“No comments at this time. My client did enter a plea of not guilty and we will let the case play out,” he said.
The judge at the district court granted two restraining orders for two alleged victims who were filmed by the device.
Garcia is set to return to court next month.
