Police say an East Northport woman is dead after crashing into a utility pole.
Police say Barbara Dedicke was driving on Elwood Road in East Northport when she lost control of her car.
The 78-year-old swerved out of traffic just north of Clay Pitts Road and into a parked car, before hitting the pole.
Dedicke was pronounced dead at the scene.
It's not clear what caused her to lose control.
