Vess Mitev says 26-year-old Victoria Heuermann and her brother 34-year-old Christopher Sheridan have had their lives turned upside down.
“They are extraordinarily shocked and traumatized,” Mitev says. “It is a mixture of shock and grief.”
The attorney says Christopher Sheridan is a “gentle soul” who likes walking and spending time with the family pet.
Victoria Heuermann worked for her father’s company in Manhattan and is described by her lawyer as an avid gamer.
Mitev says her PlayStation 5 was found in two pieces and her Magic Gathering cards, that were worth money, were destroyed.
Both of the adult children live in their parent’s Massapequa Park home that the attorney says will now take hundreds of thousands of dollars to repair.
“Everything was uprooted, the bathtub was drilled through, things are stacked on top of each other, valuables are broken,” Mitev says.
The attorney says the family has moved back into the Massapequa Park home as Rex Heuermann remains in jail.
Mitev would not reveal how the children feel about their father or if they knew about his alleged crimes.
