A woman working as a cleaner at an assisting living facility in Glen Cove is accused of stealing from one of its residents.
Police say a 96-year-old woman residing at the Sunrise of Glen Cove assisted living facility reported that someone stole six valuable pieces of jewelry from her room.
The facility contacted police, who say an investigation led to the arrest of Maria Leyton, of Glen Cove.
The 53-year-old is facing charges of larceny and possession of stolen property.
