A state appeals court has rejected a plan to open a strip club on Sunrise Highway in Wantagh.
Residents feared that club owner Billy Dean would operate the Wantagh club similarly to his North Bellmore location, which he bills as Long Island's number one strip club.
As News 12 Long Island has reported, the Town of Hempstead revoked a permit for Dean to open the windowless club on the lot he bought for almost $1 million.
Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray says that after losing his second appeal this could be the end of a club in Wantagh.
Dean told News 12 he will consult with his attorney before making any decision on how to move forward.
