A festival
supporting Black-owned businesses on Long Island is kicking off this weekend.
The fifth
annual Ujamaa Fest will take over Delano Stewart Plaza in Wyandanch.
The festival is for residents to get together on Long Island and shop
Black-owned businesses and organizations from across the tri-state area.
Organizers say Ujamaa Fest is an effort to rebuild the economic backbone of
the Black community on Long Island.
The fest will feature over 100 vendors, including youth entrepreneurs, live
musical performances and more.
