Three alleged members of the MS 13 gang are accused in multiple execution-style murders and attempted murders on Long Island.
The accused have been identified as Edwin Acosta-Martinez, 26, of Huntington Station; Sergio Cerna, 31, of Brentwood; and Arnolvin Velasquez, 22, of Brentwood.
Prosecutors say the trio were involved in the November 2011 murder of Brandon Sotomayor in Baywood, the December 2011 double murder of brothers Enston and Ricardo Ceron in Brentwood, in addition to four attempted murders which occurred between May and December 2011.
According to authorities, the suspects are also charged with a number of racketeering offenses that include assault, obstruction of justice, armed robbery, firearms and conspiracy.
If convicted, the defendants could face life in prison.
