An alleged car thief in Riverhead was stopped by a vehicle's OnStar navigation system.
Police say Khashif Spencer stole a woman's car Friday night as she was entering it at the parking lot of a Target on Old Country Road.
Spencer then allegedly led police on a chase.
The car was disabled after the victim notified OnStar of the carjacking. Spencer was subsequently taken into custody by police.
