Police: Woman wanted for attacking employee during robbery at Baldwin beauty supply store

According to detectives, an unknown female subject entered Lucky Beauty Supply located on Grand Avenue and was observed removing numerous items from the shelves and placing them into a black bag.

Police say a woman is wanted for attacking an employee during an attempted robbery in Baldwin on Aug. 4.
According to detectives, a woman entered Lucky Beauty Supply on Grand Avenue and was observed removing numerous items from the shelves and placing them into a black bag.
As she attempted to exit the store without paying for the items, she was approached by a female store employee. 
A struggle ensued and the suspect began to punch the store employee in the face and pull her hair, police say. The suspect then fled the scene, leaving the merchandise behind. 
As a result of the struggle, the female victim suffered a large contusion to her left eye and lacerations on her face.
The female suspect is described as Hispanic with a large build, black wig and tattoos on her right arm. She was wearing a brown dress, black slide sandals and glasses with a gold color frame.
