5h agoPolice say a teen pedestrian was fatally struck in East Garden
City early this morning.
According to detectives, the male pedestrian, 19, was struck by
a 2020 Honda Civic being operated by a 20-year-old male while traveling
eastbound on Stewart Avenue near the intersection of South Street.
The victim was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver stayed at the scene.
