Albert Chau has spent his life capturing images that others may not see.
Chau is a photographer for the city's chief medical examiner's office, having formerly been a live music and product photographer.
"From the living, to now the dead," Chau says of his subjects.
According to a spokesperson from the medical examiner's office, they handle 30% more cases today than they did in 2019.
While Chau acknowledges the job isn't easy, he says that his work in helping get to the bottom of crime scenes brings him purpose. But it helps the families of those victims even more, he says, by "bringing closure, having answers."
