AAA is giving parents a warning as Halloween approaches – they say the holiday is the deadliest day for young walkers nationwide.
From 2007 to 2021, 49 children were killed on Halloween.
AAA suggests drivers avoid shortcuts through neighborhoods to steer clear of any trick-or-treaters that might be walking through streets.
AAA also suggests slowing down.
Even a difference of 10 miles per hour can make a difference between life and death.
Lastly, AAA urges drivers to drive sober.
