The Maritime Aquarium is bringing together sculptures, photography and live animals in an exhibit for a limited time.
A Slug's Life is an art installation giving visitors a close-up view of sea slugs.
Along with enlarged sculptures built by local artists, the exhibit will include a display of live slugs.
"The idea was to bring something new to the aquarium and change what someone's idea could be about going to an aquarium. We wanted to immerse people in things that are really small and yet show them the details of those really small things through the sculptures,” says Tom Frankie, the exhibit's director.
The exhibit is available through December.
The Maritime CEO says he is working to expand the exhibit to other aquariums.
