'A Dream Prom Boutique' ensures Nassau high schoolers have prom of their dreams

News 12 was told more than 4,000 dresses were donated along with 900 pairs of shoes for the students to choose from.

Nassau County teamed up with its police department Saturday to ensure that high school students celebrate their special prom night.
The Nassau County Police Training Center in Garden City held the "A Dream Prom Boutique" event.
News 12 was told more than 4,000 dresses were donated along with 900 pairs of shoes for the students to choose from.
"The Women's Association, the Hispanic Association, the Guardinas all come together to do the right thing for our community. It's a special day and you're going to see a lot of smiles on a lot of young ladies and young men walking out of here today," said Nassau County Police Department Commissioner Patrick Ryder.
