A cat that had a jar stuck on its head for days in New Jersey and was saved by a rescuer from a Long Island-based shelter will be put up for adoption.

John Debacker, the vice president of Long Island Cat/Kitten Solutions, Inc., helped get the jar off the cat’s head on Christmas while he was in town visiting family.

"After further assessment by the foster, the cat is friendly and will be put up for adoption,” he told News 12.

Anyone interested in adoption can visit the Brick City Kitties Rescue website. Her name is Merry. She's spayed and is not microchipped.
