A 95-year-old Commack man is searching for his lost wedding ring, a band he says he never removed in nearly 70 years of marriage.
Norm Goldsobel and his wife, Rosalind, were married on June 17, 1956. Goldsobel said he had only taken the ring off once before, when a notch broke.
Two weeks ago, while washing his hands, he noticed the ring was gone. He searched his home and retraced his steps but found nothing.
“It symbolizes our life together. It’s as simple as all that,” he said.
Not active on social media, he joked that he’s a “dinosaur,” Goldsobel posted on NextDoor for help. He received many kind messages but still hasn’t located the ring.
He’s offering a reward.
“If you find it, you’re in for one of the biggest dinners you’ve ever had,” he said.
