A 9/11 first responder from Center Moriches died Thursday.
Retired NYPD officer Joe Stillitano was brought home from the hospital for hospice care on Friday by his family, friends and fellow officers.
Stillitano was 62 and developed terminal cancer decades after responding to ground zero during the terrorist attacks.
A wake will be held on Sunday at the Moloney-Sinnicksons Funeral Home in Center Moriches. He will be laid to rest on Monday.
