An 81-year-old woman has been hit and killed by a school bus in Oceanside.

Police say the incident happened as the woman was walking on Nassau Road near Weidner Avenue just after 8 a.m. Wednesday.

The driver remained at the scene and has not been charged.

Nobody else was injured.
