76ers' Tobias Harris announces set of initiatives to help those in need
76ers forward and a former Long Island basketball star Tobias Harris has put several initiatives in place to help those struggling during the coronavirus pandemic.
The former LuHi and Half Hollow Hills West star announced he will donate to Habitat For Humanity to aid 12 families and is partnering with Chick-fil-A to provide 250 lunches for health care workers at a Philadelphia hospital.

"We're experiencing one of the biggest crises in the history of humankind," Harris says. "Being able to provide kindness to people putting their lives at risk in hospitals and supporting Philadelphia families in dire need of help is an important responsibility for me."
Harris is also partnering with a Philadelphia education campaign called Read By 4th to donate books to the home libraries of thousands of children.
Harris is also planning read-alouds and interactive games to keep kids engaged while they're home.
