A 75-year-old Navy veteran says he was ripped off by a Long Island moving company.
Frank Ciaffone hired Plainview-based Call My Mover in September to move from Massapequa to Levittown. The original price quote was $1,760. But when it came time to unload the truck, Ciaffone says the workers demanded an additional $2,200.
Ciaffone says his items were held on the truck until he paid the workers by money order.
Call My Mover has received online complaints from people who also claim the price went up after their belongings were loaded onto the truck. The company has an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau.
News 12 tried speaking with staff at Call My Mover, but the company declined to give an interview.
