The coronavirus pandemic is putting a stop to an East End tradition.

The 66th annual Mattituck Strawberry Festival has been canceled.

The organizers are now trying to figure out if there is a way to keep some pieces of the event alive.

On Father's Day weekend, they want to set up a drive-thru tent for people to buy fresh strawberries, strawberry shortcake and strawberry daiquiris.

They also hope to crown a Strawberry Queen live on Facebook.
