Residents say a dangerous six-way intersection in Lindenhurst needs more speed and signal regulations.
The awkward intersection is created by Catskill Avenue, 31st Street and North Strongs Avenue.
Residents say their proposals have gone unnoticed by village officials. They say there is no regulation for speeding and visibility is poor for oncoming traffic.
Dina Love, who lives near the intersection, calls it a "death trap."
"It's horrible. There's an accident here about once a month," she tells News 12 Long Island.
The Town of Babylon issued a statement Wednesday morning saying, "The Town of Babylon Traffic Safety and Code Enforcement departments will continue to examine the intersection and any line-of-sight issues that may be present."
While neighbors say they have sent complaints to the Village of Lindenhurst, a spokesman told News 12 that they have yet to receive any requests for traffic safety improvements at the intersection.
