Five ex-Medford nursing home workers have been sentenced to jail for ignoring a dying patient and then trying to cover it up.
Kethlie Joseph and Kimberly Lappe were both sentenced today to nine months behind bars. Christine Boylan and Marianne Fassino each received six months. Meanwhile, Victoria Caldwell received 45 days.
The victim's daughter says she's happy with the outcome.
As News 12 has reported, 72-year-old Aurelia Rios died at the Medford Multicare Center in 2012 after prosecutors say workers at the facility ignored several alarms and didn't hook the victim up to a ventilator.
