Health officials say four more cases of enterovirus have been confirmed in Suffolk County.
News 12 is told the children, all under age 9, were hospitalized, but are now back home.
One case of enterovirus has been confirmed in Nassau County.
Newsday reports that, as a precaution, children age 14 and under are being temporarily banned from visiting patients at North Shore LIJ hospitals and nursing facilities.
