27 residents of a Huntington Station assisted living facility have been displaced after a driver slammed their car into the building late last night.

Suffolk County police said officers responded to Manor Haven Adult Home at 222 Columbia St. around 10 p.m.

Investigators said the Honda Civic was traveling north on McKay Road when the car left the roadway and struck the building. The driver fled the scene before police arrived.

No one was injured, according to officials.

Manor Haven is a New York State-licensed, 32-bed facility, according to the state Department of Health.

Video from the scene shows the red car with significant front-end damage still at the scene as water gushed out of the building.

Suffolk County Fire officials said the crash caused flooding in the basement and the utilities had to be shut off.

The Town of Huntington Building Inspector was on the scene.

The Red Cross is working to find places for displaced residents to go.

The investigation is ongoing.
