The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office says 25 inmates have been moved to temporary housing units while they make repairs to a “heating issue” at the Yaphank Correctional Facility.

The nature of the issue was not immediately known. The sheriff’s office says it’s working to fix the problem.

It wasn’t clear when the new heating problem would be resolved.

Another heating issue in the facility’s visiting area reported last week has been fixed.
