Two people suffered stab wounds following a domestic incident in Suffolk County late Tuesday night.
Suffolk police officers responded to the dispute on Flanders Avenue in Melville around 10:15 p.m.
According to detectives, a man was found with a stab wound, and a woman sustained a self-inflicted stab wound.
Both people were taken to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are not releasing the names and ages of the individuals at this time, or their relation to each other.
The investigation is ongoing.
