Search crews were expected back on the water Wednesday morning as authorities continued looking for a missing boater near Atlantic Highlands.
An empty boat believed to be a commercial clamming vessel was found drifting near the end of a jetty Monday morning, according to police.
Tuesday's coverage
Atlantic Highlands police spotted the vessel around 10:45 a.m. Monday near the Seastreak pier.
Authorities said no one was on board when the boat was discovered.
Police identified the boat as belonging to a 64-year-old Pennsylvania man, but have been unable to contact him.
His name has not been released.
Search efforts on Monday and Tuesday did not locate the missing man.
