Two people were hurt in a motor vehicle crash in Nassau County Sunday afternoon.

Nassau police and the Hicksville Fire Department were called to the collision around 4 p.m. at the intersection of South Oyster Bay Road and Old Country Road in Hicksville.

Firefighters and members of Nassau’s Emergency Service Unit worked to cut one of the drivers from a dark-colored Nissan SUV.

The same took out a pedestrian signal after crashing onto the lawn of a Mobil gas station.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries, police say.

No charges have been filed at this time.
