Woman arrested for DWI after vehicle got stuck on LIRR tracks west of Farmingdale Station

The vehicle did not make contact with any trains.

A Queens woman has been arrested after her vehicle allegedly got stuck on the Long Island Rail Road tracks west of the Farmingdale Station while she was intoxicated.

MTA police say that around 1:48 a.m. Evelyn Luna's vehicle became stuck on the tracks at the Clinton Avenue crossing. The vehicle did not make contact with any trains and was removed around 3:03 a.m.

Three Ronkonkoma Branch trains were delayed as a result of this incident, according to the MTA. Regular service to the branch resumed at 3:54 a.m.

The 34-year-old from Whitestone was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated, according to police. The investigation is ongoing.
